Industry: Telecommunications

The client is an Indian telecommunications company. It is present in more than 200 countries and territories around the world. It provides network services and software-defined network platforms, such as Ethernet, SD-WAN, Content Delivery Network (CDN), Internet, Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS), and Private Line. The company has invested $1.19 billion in its global subsea fiber network.

Business Scenario

The company has multiple enterprise solutions for HR & Management, with no single sign-on in the systems and no intercommunication between the systems.

It takes too much time to access multiple systems.

Each solution is independent and provides some specific functionality. These systems have different interfaces to access, which is not convenient and quite complex.

Users have to sign-in for each system separately.

Challenges

Inefficient user-management software

Monitoring of cloud resources

Security while development

Multiple microservices

No version controlling

Manual deployment

More time-to-market

Delay patches

No single sign-on access

Solutions

Celebal integrated DevOps practices into the application portfolio.

We devised a solution to deploy the DevOps strategy and mutually decided on the specifications of the application.

We automated several elements, like repeatable tasks in Azure DevOps by using version-control, CI/CD pipelines and Azure Service Fabric to improve average time to detect failures, boost service delivery & tracking, and metrics generation to minimize failure rates and manage fixes.

Business Impacts

Reduced manual deployment time.

Reduced average failure rate.

Environment provisioning time reduced.

Reduced time-to-market by 60%.

Infrastructure provisioning time reduced.

Solution Highlights

Celebal team used a complicated tool stack to design Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and manage workflows using Azure DevOps (CI/CD/VCS), SQL database.

In addition, we leveraged Azure Monitor for infrastructure, SonarQube for code quality, and Azure Key Vault, JWT, and other implementations for the security of application.

We deployed the automated CI/CD pipelines with Service Fabric acting as the container orchestrator. Our team provided support services for Azure iPaaS, Docker-based projects, and Azure Service Fabric systems.

The collaboration between the client and Celebal Technologies in implementing an Azure DevOps solution resulted in substantial improvements in development processes, software quality, and operational efficiency. The company is now better equipped to meet the demands of its ever-growing customer base and remain competitive in the telecommunications industry.
